We have set up a maths lab for our children. This includes 37 different type of learning materials like Ganitmala, Tangram, Stringing Beads, Geoboard, Fraction kit, Maan cards etc.
The hands-on activity-based approach will help us to make learning process more meaningful and engaging for children, while laying the strong foundation for advanced mathematical concepts in later stages. The learning activities begin from the world of children (from games, stories and contexts connected to their lives) where the focus in on problem-solving rather than finding the one correct answer.
This setup was crucial for our remedial exercise and in general for foundational stage education.
