Government Higher Primary School (GHPS), Old Anekal is located in Anekal Town of Bengaluru. Aikya Trust has adopted entire school (all classes) to improve the quality of education. The overall engagement is going to benefit 260 underprivileged children from LKG to Class 8. Aikya Trust has deployed 5 full time teachers and 1 part time teacher to meet the objectives (and a support staff).
Aikya team have been doing survey of deprived and slum localities in Anekal town and nearby villages to identify underprivileged children who are missing formal education. Many of the identified children are admitted to school. Survey link – Survey Details

Aikya trust has entered into a formal agreement with the school and Block Education Office, Karnataka Education dept, with the following objectives
- Aikya Trust will continue to adopt LKG & UKG classes which was introduced by Trust in Jun 2023.
- Aikya Trust will continue to work on learning outcome improvement for Class 1 to Class 3 through activity-based learning pedagogy
- Aikya Trust will work on learning improvement for higher classes (i.e. Class 4 to Class 8) in key subjects like science, maths and English
