We have successfully accomplished our first milestone of remediation/summer camp at Mahatma Gandhi School, Pune.
Due to the focused approach to remediation, many students have shown remarkable improvement in their reading, writing and oral English skills. Our teaching staff and mentors are able to instill confidence in these children that they can also do it.
While we started as mentors/teachers for these children with learning difficulties, eventually we ended up as students, learning deeper values of life. These children taught us the acceptance; that every child needs to be accepted the way he/she is, without being judgmental. Every creation is beautiful and unique in its own way, and deserves care and respect. The love and connect they have shown to us was amazing, sometimes by sharing their food, holding our hands and being around us most of the time asking all kinds of innocent questions
Getting involved always leads to a profound experience and touches our soul deeply, enriching our life in many ways
This experience re-affirms our belief in the holistic education model that accommodates every child.
We are deeply grateful to our teachers/staff for their tremendous effort and to our mentor Dr. Chetana Keni (founder of Aurinko Academy & Fabskool) who helped us with the unique structure/content for the program and on-the-go training, to make the program very effective
At Aikya, we are committed to build a community that is driven by love, compassion and peace
