“Play is the highest form of Research” – Albert Einstein
Many thinkers and research in the field of child development have consistently reinforced the importance of play-activity based curriculum for the foundational stage education (3 to 8 years). With play-based pedagogy, the learning outcome is significant compared to formal, didactic teaching.
Activities and play situations naturally enable children to be active participants and not passive recipients in the learning process. The approach encourages children to explore and experiment with things, and strengthen their observation, memory, creativity and problem-solving skills, while also promoting other social-emotional skills like sharing, cooperation, collaboration, communication and compassion. These skills acquired during the early stage provides a strong foundation not only for further school education, but also for life-long learning and success
At Aikya, we have always believed in the holistic and child-centric education model. As a part of our foundational stage education program, we have setup an energized activity room in Anekal govt school, Bangalore, with greater focus on all-round development of our children
Our team has meticulously selected playway material covering all the 6 developmental domains – Cognitive & Numeracy, Language & Literacy, Social-Emotional, Art & Culture, Physical & Motor, Positive Learning Habits
