Initiative/Engagement Details:
- Aikya Trust and school has jointly hired well-qualified science teachers to address issues related to science teaching. Aikya Trust is paying supplementary compensation to teacher.
- Aikya trust is also providing 1 support staff to school, for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
School also lacks basic facilities in classrooms and school premises as listed below –
- There are 5 classrooms in the first and second floor without flooring work. Floors are rough and get lot of dust accumulation causing health issues to children
- There is no shed for mid-day meal area; currently, mid-day meal area is open to sky. In summer and rainy season, the area is practically unusable, eventually causing issues to server mid-day meal
- There is no water/borewell facility in school premises, school has to depend on external water supply and struggles a lot with frequent water shortage issues.
- Science room setup
- There are many classrooms without windows and doors
- Almost all classrooms are not painted for many year and look extremely dull
- Many classrooms do not have proper Blackboards
- School also needs basic furniture – tables, racks, wardrobes
