GHPS Old Anekal Fest 2023

On Dec 9th, we had organised annual fest in our adopted government school, in Anekal, Bangalore. It was the most wonderful day of the year, with our kids confidently and enthusiastically presenting their projects to the visitors and parents

The fest involved students from LKG to class 8 and the themes were aligned with their syllabus to give them experiential and practical learning on what they are studying. We had more than 60 projects on display like rain water harvesting, soil erosion, drip irrigation, windmill, kidney, lungs model, traffic rules, community helpers, air/water pollution and so on.

Additionally, students worked on a few interesting STEM projects like Chandrayaan-3, merry-go-round, solar renewable energy, robotic hand etc. If you want to take a quick look at those interesting working models (short videos), they are available here. They are certainly worth watching 😊  – https://www.aikyatrust.org/ghps-old-anekal-fest-2023-videos/

We also invited nearby government schools as we wanted to promote this culture of experiential and project-based learning.

Our school teachers, AikyaEduCommunity volunteers and mentors (Anupama and Yogita mam from BGS-School, Bangalore) have done a fabulous job in successful execution of the fest; they have been relentlessly working with students for almost a month.

We are also deeply grateful to our close friends and well-wishers who travelled 80-90 km to and fro, to attend the fest and motivate our children
