Access to timely and quality medical treatment still remains a significant challenge for many poor and underprivileged families due to high cost of medical procedures, specifically for critical illnesses. Many of them struggle to save their loved ones due to shortage of funds and many times do not even have enough money to meet their daily food expenses.
In the last 2-3 years, we had launched few campaigns on crowdfunding platform – Milaap, to support underprivileged children diagnosed with critical illnesses; we could manage to support them successfully.
We will continue to support medical cases using crowdfunding platform like Milaap or Kitto. To begin with, we have approached few known doctors and couple of hospitals in Bangalore – Narayana Hrudayalaya and Jayadeva Hospital. We will be supporting medical cases from these hospitals; association with known hospitals and doctors will help us with easy verification and proper governance as we launch campaign on crowdfunding platforms.
