Oneness

“All differences in this world are of degree, and not of the kinds, because Oneness is the secret of everything” – Swami Vivekanand.

Swami Vivekananda explains the idea of Oneness very directly in ‘One Existence Appearing as Many’. We all are one. God is here, in all human souls and It is a privilege to serve mankind, for this is the worship of God. With this idea of Oneness at the core, we want to support those in need with love and compassion.

Action (Karma)

We have a limited time on this earth. Time and again, many of our scriptures and spiritual gurus conveyed one message consistently that we should feel responsible for the situation around us and as along as we are aware and capable, we must act in our capacity. The individual who chooses to ignore (because of the mindset that “This person is mine, and this one is not”) is equally responsible for the situation. Such mindset and ignorance is the hindrance for creating a better and inclusive society.

No one is perfect, we are all flawed and so are the systems managed by us. While there will be issues and negativity, we will stay focused on the positive aspects and continue to act in our capacity. As Mahatma Gandhi beautifully said – “You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.”

Selflessness

Aligning with the notion of Nishkama Karma, we would like to carry out all our work in a selfless manner, without any expectations or desires.

Participation

While providing monetary support to someone in need is an important aspect, the blissfulness will come from participation in the cause. The journey will help all of us to unlearn many things and go back to the basics of life – living with love, compassion and peace.
